Ex-Hibs star's car in crash

POLICE are probing a collision involving a sports car belonging to Scotland international Garry O'Connor in which the driver fled the scene.

The former Hibs player's vehicle - believed to be a Ferrari Spider F1 - smashed into a bridge at Meadowmill in Tranent, at around 7am yesterday.

It is understood that initial reports to police suggest an acquaintance of Mr O'Connor was driving. And today it was reported that the 100,000 car could be a write-off.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "Inquiries are ongoing to trace the driver."
