Ex-Hibs star charged over row

EX-Hibs star Leigh Griffiths has been charged in connection with an alleged disturbance on Princes Street.

Police were called to Jenners after reports of a row between a couple in front of shoppers.

A police spokesman said: “A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged disturbance in Princes Street and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

“He has been released on undertaking to appear at court.”

Griffiths was part of the Hibs team who were defeated 5-1 by city rivals Hearts on May 19 in the Scottish Cup final, but has since returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers, from whom he was on loan.
