Ex-Hearts player Christian Nade ordered to pay £98,000 and return car to hire firm

THE former Hearts player Christian Nade, has been ordered to pay a finance company almost £100,000 and to return a Cadillac he hired from them.

The legal action against the 25-year old French player, who signed for the Edinburgh Premier League side in 2007, was brought by Lombard North Central in March of this year. The company was seeking return of two cars, thought to be a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Cadillac, or payment for them.

The case called a number of times in Edinburgh Sheriff Court, but Nade never made an appearance. The court had heard that one of the cars was in Spain and the other had been given to the London Motor Museum.

Granting the finance company's action, Sheriff Frank Crowe was told that Nade was now playing for a football club in Cyprus.

The Sheriff ordered Nade to pay a total of 97,787.33 to Lombard and to return the Cadillac Escalade Station Wagon, which he had hired in May 2008.

He also found Nade liable for the expenses of the court action.
