‘ETA boss’ to go to France

AN alleged ETA terror chief found living in the Capital has indicated that he will not oppose returning to France.

Benat Atorrasagasti Ordonez, below, has fought a five-month court battle to avoid being extradited to France and Spain.

But at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday, Ordonez’s counsel, Mungo Bovey QC, told Sheriff Alistair Noble: “My motion is for your lordship to adjourn this hearing to a hearing on January 7.

“If that is the case, Mr Ordonez will offer no opposition to the French warrant.”

Sheriff Noble agreed to the January hearing.

Ordonez was arrested in July at his flat in Sloan Street, Leith.
