ERI bid to win paper chase
A PROJECT at the city's biggest hospital to increase the use of digital file-keeping will save 10,000 sheets of paper a year.
The scheme has been developed by Edinburgh Royal Infirmary's compliance team.
It sees audit forms filled out electronically on a netbook, saving 850 sheets a month.
It is part of a general shift within NHS Lothian towards electronic record-keeping, freeing up space in offices and making it easier for medics to access information.
