Tall order facing Aberfeldy forest

A PERTHSHIRE wood has joined the international campaign to save the tallest trees in the world – the giant sequoia – from extinction.

Foresters at Drummond Hill near Aberfeldy, Scotland’s first managed woodland which is owned by Forestry Commission Scotland, will plant a number of redwood saplings as part of the International Conifers In Our Care initiative.

The trees will be monitored to gather data in aid of conservation.
