Pictures: Orkney’s first baby buffalo born
Orkney is celebrating the birth of its first-ever buffalo.
A strapping baby male - thought to weigh 22kgs (50lbs) - was born in the early hours of Tuesday.
The herd of twenty-five water buffalo arrived on the islands, at Deerness Farm, a little over a week ago
Orkney Buffalo is a family-run venture which owner Russell Bremner has plans to supply not only meat, but mozzarella cheese, leather and buffalo milk.
