Landowners desperate to sell off their estates
It’s sale has generated world-wide interest, and the sellers are considering various offers following last month’s closing date. The 1,500-acre Invermarkie estate in Aberdeenshire, below, with a 5,000 sq ft period house and five cottages, is also up for sale for £4.77m.
Cluny estate at Laggan, below, has 10,143 acres including a deer forest, grouse moor, and facilities for pheasant shooting, duck flighting and, unusually, goat shooting.

Ten miles south of Aviemore, the 7,500-acre Balavil estate has also been advertised for sale. Sports include deer stalking, grouse and pheasant shooting, and salmon and trout fishing. The main house has ten rooms, let from £170 per person per night and eight cottages. It is on sale for £7m.
Killean estate, at Tayinloan, Argyll, is on sale for £7.5m. It has a Georgian house, three arts and crafts cottages and a new ten-cottage holiday letting complex, as well as a farm and 1,350 acres of commercial forest.
