Injured osprey is back on the wing

An OSPREY has been nursed back to health after being left unable to fly when it became tangled in pond netting.

The two-year-old was discovered in the Yarrow Valley, in the Borders, at the beginning of this month, and was said to be “exhausted” from his ordeal.

The bird freed itself and was taken in by staff at the Tweed Valley Osprey Project, but could still not fly the following day.
