Help sought at nature reserve

VOLUNTEERS are being sought for a nature reserve in West Lothian.

Easter Inch Moss, between Blackburn and Seafield, is now important for a number of locally rare plants and animals, including a nationally rare butterfly – the small pearl-bordered fritillary – and the UK’s largest amphibian, the great crested newt.

A local management group has been set up to help advise on the running of the site, but further help is needed.

Members of the local community are being urged to carry out maintenance on the site.
