Frightened falcon goes home
The Lanner falcon, named Lucy, landed next to a Scottish SPCA ambulance driver in Edinburgh, who arranged the reunion. The 15-week-old bird was being exercised by its owner near his home in Cockerham, Lancashire, last Wednesday when it was targeted by crows.
It fled the area and flew north, landing in Holyrood Park, on Monday.
The bird touched down near Scottish SPCA driver Mairi Stewart, who was in the area releasing another bird
She took Lucy to Dalhousie Castle Falconry in Bonnyrigg where its owner was able to collect it.
