Frightened falcon goes home

A BABY falcon which flew 170 miles north after being attacked by crows has been reunited with its owner.

The Lanner falcon, named Lucy, landed next to a Scottish SPCA ambulance driver in Edinburgh, who arranged the reunion. The 15-week-old bird was being exercised by its owner near his home in Cockerham, Lancashire, last Wednesday when it was targeted by crows.

It fled the area and flew north, landing in Holyrood Park, on Monday.
