Family in bid to find pet lost on Scottish holiday

Carol Sinclair, 49, from Manchester was heart-broken when she was holidaying near Newton Stewart in Galloway last October, and her collie, Skye, ran off into the wilderness.

She, and her son Luke, 21, have been devastated ever since and spend every free moment they have in Scotland searching for their beloved Skye -- whom they believe is “definitely still alive.”

The brown collie dog has been spotted in various locations surrounding the family’s caravan situated at Monreith Caravan Park, Wigtownshire, but no one has managed to catch her.

Now that the caravan park is closed for the winter, Carol and Luke say they have no choice but to camp out in a tent to search for Skye - with no toilet facilities.

Carol, who owns four other collie dogs, said today/yesterday [FRI]: “We will not give up until get our Skye home.

“Bad weather conditions won’t stop myself and my son looking for our girl.

“She is clever and resilient.

“We even missed Christmas last year because we were in Scotland looking for her.”

Carol said she knows Skye -- a “rescue” dog-- is alive because she believes she has seen her in the distance “on multiple occasions” and has also been working with pet mind communicators, that have been speaking to the collie telepathically.

Carol, who works as a communications officer for Greater Manchester Police, said: “The pet communicators have been working hard to tell Skye telepathically that we just want her home.

“The first two years of Skye’s life were horrific before she was rescued, and I think this had a big impact on what has happened.

“She is just petrified of humans.

“She was locked in a shed as a puppy and she was two years old before I re-homed her.”

Skye ran off on October 22 last year after she slipped her lead after becoming spooked by an loud noise.

Since then, Carol and Luke have set up trail camera’s around the area she went missing and cook food at meal times to try and coax the pooch back.

Carol added: “I miss her so much I even sit in the woods at night and read her a story.

“I feel like we are coming closer to getting her back, I can feel her presence, we seen her last Wednesday.

“Living in a tent we have no facilities but it’ll be worth it to get Skye back.

“Some people have said it’s all a big scam which is really upsetting and we’ve also had numerous hoax calls.

“It’s not easy having to deal with that as well as losing a much loved pet.

“Luke and I are prepared to continue searching for Skye no matter what the weather forecast is this winter.
