Event targets fish stocks

VISITORS are being invited to “paint a fish” this weekend at Deep Sea World.

The aquarium is teaming up with the charity New Economics Foundation as part of a campaign to raise awareness about dwindling fish stocks.

Youngsters will be invited to paint a picture of a fish which will then go on display at the aquarium and on the internet.

Deep Sea World’s Aisling Thornton said: “This will help highlight the importance of protecting our precious marine environment.”
