Edinburgh Zoo giant panda Tian Tian gets birthday treat

Staff at the city’s zoo made special bamboo-flavoured lollies for Tian Tian - which means ‘sweetie’ in Chinese - who turns 13 this month, as does her fellow giant panda Yang Guang.

The two animals are the first giant pandas to live in the UK for 17 years and arrived in Scotland’s capital in December 2011.
