Edinburgh and Stirling Castles plunged into darkness
Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle are joining global landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, in France, and Australia’s Sydney Opera House by taking part in Earth Hour on 23 March.
The plug will be pulled on the flood lights that illuminate the historic castles which look over the two cities.

This year, Earth Hour focuses on the power of nature and the way we can reduce carbon emissions by using renewable energy over fossil fuels.
