Deer rescued by Scottish SPCA officer after getting its backside stuck in fence in Clyde View park, Renfrew
The incident happened on Tuesday, November 24 at Clyde View Park in Renfrew and was reported to the Scottish SPCA by a member of the public after their dog spotted the vulnerable deer.
The news comes after a stag in Mull, dubbed ‘Bob the festive stag’ managed to get himself into quite the festive pickle last week after headbutting a Christmas tree, leaving him with the festive lights tangled round his antlers.

Hide AdThe Scottish SPCA reported today that the deer in Renfrew was released back into the wild after one of their ‘resourceful’ animal rescue officers, Janan Toraman, managed to use a jack in her van to bend the fence’s bar and free the animal.
Janan Toraman, the officer who freed the deer said: “I managed to release the deer using my van jack to bend the bars on the fence.
“She took a few minutes to realise her legs in fact still worked fine and she bounded out and away as I stood back.
“It got dark about 10 minutes later so she was one lucky deer!”
