Breathtaking footage shows whales swimming off Scottish coast just metres from wild swimmer
A wild swimmer has captured stunning footage of whales swimming just metres from her while she was out for a dip.
Lisa Christie, from Great Cumbrae was swimming in the Firth of Clyde when she spotted two Northern bottlenose whales splashing around in Kames Bay.

Hide AdSounds of the ocean beasts breathing can be heard in a video she took of them as they swam metres from her.
"It’s hard to tell how close they were,” Lisa said.
"One time they surfaced it felt like you could almost reach out and touch them, but they were maybe about 10 to15 metres away.”
The keen swimmer said she regularly spots wildlife in the area including basking sharks, otters, seals and Kylie, the resident dolphin.
Hundreds of people have shared the video since Lisa posted it on social media.
"I’m glad people are enjoying something a bit nicer than the usual Covid news at this time.”
