Nature lovers are mourning a giant red deer stag feared to have been shot dead for his antlers.
Known as the Emperor and reputedly - at 9ft tall to the tips of his antlers - the biggest wild animal in Britain, he was reportedly killed legally by a trophy hunter on Exmoor, Devon, after the landowner was paid for the shooting rights.
