Elderly man killed by lorry named

An elderly man killed by a lorry in a busy city street has been identified by police.

Joseph Greg Moffat, from Govanhill, was crossing Calder Street, in the south side of Glasgow, when he was struck by an HGV lorry on Wednesday.

Strathclyde Police said the 60-year-old died at the scene and the lorry driver, a 37-year-old man, was not injured but was said to be distressed.
