Edinburgh's ultra-fast network nears completion

Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre is one of the most recent sites to be connected to the network and can now offer ultrafast WiFi to visitors, saying that it believes the project will be “of major benefit” to the city.
Infrastructure provider CityFibre is installing a network that laid out would stretch from the Scottish capital to Aberdeen, and the firm said that at the project’s peak it employed a team of more than 150.

Hide AdIt has so far installed 126 kilometres of pure fibre infrastructure in Edinburgh, working in partnership with telecommunications network service provider Commsworld, the official launch partner of the Edinburgh Gigabit City project and which is also based in the city.
