Edinburgh’s Forest Cafe to host soup swap craze

A FOOD lovers’ craze which has swept from the United States across the world has finally reached the Capital, with the first-ever official Scottish Soup Swap being held this afternoon in The Forest Cafe.

The idea first originated in the 90s, when a soup-loving singleton got sick of seeing extra portions go to waste.

Those taking part in the swap have been asked to prepare enough soup for six portions. Participants take it in turns to choose a portion they think sounds most appetising, with a prize in store for whoever’s creation disappears quickest.
