Edinburgh woman charged over Christmas Day murder

A 37-YEAR-OLD woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Edinburgh on Christmas Day.

Police were called to a flat in Glenure Loan, Edinburgh and found the body of 47-year-old Alan Williamson.

Melissa Young, 37, from Edinburgh, made no plea when she appeared on petition at the city’s sheriff court charged with murder.

She was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again on January 3.
