Edinburgh tops for cost of car parking

EDINBURGH has the most expensive city centre parking in the UK outside London, according to research by property consultants Colliers International.

It found daily parking charges averaged 20 in the Scottish capital compared with 19.90 in Manchester, 19 in Birmingham and Bristol, 17.50 in Leeds and 14 in Glasgow. Central London costs 35-40 a day.
