Edinburgh rugby group earns £1,500 funding boost

A COMMUNITY sport group is to be given funding to promote rugby in the Capital.

Edinburgh BATS rugby wants to introduce new rugby activities and also develop existing ones in the Inverleith area.

It applied to the Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership for funding to assist with the costs of setting up a new North Edinburgh Mini Club for 5-11 year-olds and a new primary six team. It also wants to expand its summer rugby camp. It has been awarded 1,500 towards the cost.
