Edinburgh Fraser Suites opens doors

A CITY-centre hotel which has transformed a historic city centre building has officially opened its doors.

The Fraser Suites boutique hotel on St Giles Street, just off the Royal Mile, has 75 individually-styled rooms and is just a few minutes from both Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street Gardens.

The building dates back to the 1860s, and was originally built to house the Edinburgh Courant, the forerunner to the Evening News and one of the UK's first regional newspapers to be founded.

Councillor Tom Buchanan, the city's economic development leader, said: "Frasers Suites Edinburgh is a valuable addition to the Old Town's premium accommodation offering."
