Edinburgh Airport is shut again due to heavy snow

HEAVY snow showers have closed Edinburgh Airport until further notice.

The airport had returned to normal at the weekend after being closed for much of last week.

But the return of more wintry conditions this morning has seen bosses take the decision to close the runway.

A spokeswoman for the airport urged travellers to check the status of their flights with their airlines.

An update will be provided by operator BAA later in the day.
