Early finish for M8 work

WORK to resurface part of the M8 at a cost of £1.65 million has been completed four days ahead of schedule.

The scheme saw the upgrade of a 2.5-mile section of the eastbound carriageway between Junctions 2 and 3 near Livingston.

Stephen Breslin, project manager for Transport Scotland, said:

"This scheme is part of a 25m programme of ongoing investment in the M8 and builds on improvements made between Junctions 5 and 6 last year."
