Dundee police seize cocaine worth £400k

OVER £400,000 worth of cocaine has been recovered by Police Scotland following a series of raids in Dundee.

The Class A drugs were seized on Wednesday - the same day that heroin with a street value of £200,000 was recovered in a series of raids in Tayside as part of an ongoing operation to tackle serious and organised crime gangs in the area.

The recovery of the substantial quantity of cocaine was announced by the force this morning.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Over £400,000 worth of cocaine has been recovered by Police Scotland following intelligence led raids on properties in Dundee yesterday afternoon. Officers from Police Scotland Tayside Division along with officers from the Organised Crime

Unit searched a number of properties in the Hilltown and Perth Road areas of the city.

“Three men aged 54, 37 and 33, all from Dundee, have been arrested and charged in connection with the haul and are expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court tomorrow.”
