Dunbartonshire pensioner banned from keeping animals

A PENSIONER has been banned from keeping animals for ten years after neglecting her pet dogs so badly they had to be put down.

Flora Giffin, 69, was also given a six-month supervision order at Dumbarton Sheriff Court yesterday.

Giffin, of Faifley, Dunbartonshire, had earlier pleaded guilty to causing her two elderly dogs unnecessary suffering by failing to provide them with the veterinary treatment they required.
