Dumped dog doing well

A DOG who was dumped in a taped-up box near a city golf club has been re-homed and is "living happily" with her new owner.

The Staffordshire bull terrier cross was found malnourished in the box near Braid Hills Golf Course at the end of October.

She was discovered by a member of public who reported the incident.

The Scottish SPCA believed the dog, called Roe, could have been stolen for breeding and then abandoned.

She has now been re-homed and re-named Rosie.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish SPCA said Rosie had recently paid the charity a visit, adding: "If there was ever a perfect example of how wonderful Staffies can be, it's Rosie."
