Dumfries: £40k of jewellery and £10k cash stolen
Around £40,000 of jewellery and £10,000 in cash has been stolen from a house.
The property in Janefield Avenue, Dumfries, was broken into sometime between Friday and yesterday, police said.
The collection of jewellery included diamonds, opals, gold and silver pieces, a force spokesman said.
Officers are investigating the theft and asked any witnesses or people who have seen the jewellery to contact them on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
