Drunk upsets A&E patients

A DRUNK sang sectarian songs as he waited for treatment in a hospital A&E.

John McVey's outrageous behaviour distressed patients waiting at St John's Hospital in Livingston, West Lothian, a court heard.

Nursing staff called the police to calm him down but 29-year-old McVey, wearing a Rangers FC top, started singing at the top of his voice.

Sheriff Douglas Kinloch told McVey to sort out his drink problem and sentenced him to carry out 135 hours of unpaid work on a community payback order.
