Drugs worth £75,000 seized

A MAN has been arrested following a raid on a cannabis farm.

Police found drugs with an estimated street value of £75,000 at the plantation in the Thorton area near Kirkcaldy, Fife.

The 21-year-old, from Lochgelly, is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.

In the past ten days, Fife police have seized drugs worth £435,000. A senior officer said the latest seizure “reinforces their commitment to tackling serious and organised crime”.

Detective Superintendent Colin Beattie said: “The targeting of drug dealing and serious and organised crime is a very high priority for Fife Constabulary and we are committed to taking action on all those involved.”
