Drugs seized in flat raid

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman has been reported to the procurator fiscal after police seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs during a raid on a home in Fife.

Officers raided the flat in Lochgelly on Thursday and confiscated "a large quantity of cannabis" following a tip-off.

Detective Constable Claire Christie, of Cowdenbeath CID, said: "Acting on community intelligence and in response to concerns expressed by the local community, Fife Police executed a drugs search warrant at an address in Lochgelly.

"As a result of this search, several thousand pounds worth of controlled drugs were recovered, with a 22-year-old woman to be reported to the procurator fiscal in Dunfermline for misuse of drugs offences."
