Drug dealer is sentenced to 21 months

A DRUG dealer caught selling heroin to undercover police officers has been sentenced to 21 months in prison.

Louis Fitzpatrick, 39, of Delta View in Musselburgh, East Lothian, pleaded guilty at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday to charges of supplying the Class A drug on three occasions between December 11 and February 22.

Fitzpatrick admitted selling heroin to undercover officers, known as "Kevin" and "Anne", in Delta View and in Plough Lane in Tranent.

Fitzpatrick, who had a previous conviction for drug dealing, was given 21 months in jail, reduced from 32 months by Sheriff Isobel McColl because of his early guilty plea.

Meanwhile, Paul White, of Delta Drive in Musselburgh, admitted selling heroin to the same undercover officers at various locations between November 23 and December 3.

White was ordered to do 300 hours of community service.
