Dropped cigarette sparks £450 bill

A MAN was left with a court bill of more than £450 after dropping a cigarette, it emerged yesterday.

George Clarke, 52, from Loughborough, dropped the cigarette last August, Charnwood Borough Council said. He was prosecuted after failing to pay a fixed penalty notice. He was fined 175, and also had to pay costs.
