Driver sought for assault on 11-year-olds

A DRIVER is being sought by police after assaulting two youths who threw snowballs at his vehicle.

The pair of 11-year-olds were attacked after hitting the vehicle with snowballs in Queensway in Penicuik, Midlothian, at about 6pm on Wednesday.

The driver is described as white, about 35 years old, 5ft 6in tall, stocky build, with black short hair. He was wearing a blue jumper, blue jeans and round glasses, and spoke with a local accent.

The vehicle was light blue.

A police spokeswoman urged anyone with any information to come forward.
