Driver sought after pedestrian stabbed

A MAN was repeatedly stabbed for apparently no reason yesterday.

The 30-year-old was walking along Branchton Road, Greenock, at around 12:20am when a man got out of a small black car, attacked him and drove off.

Police said the victim was recovering well in hospital yesterday. The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 8in and of slim build.
