Driver killedin lorry crash

A MOTORIST has died and his female passenger seriously injured after their car was involved in a collision with a lorry in Edinburgh yesterday.

The accident happened at the Clovenstone Roundabout on the B701 Wester Hailes Road at about 1.30pm.

The male driver of the Honda CRX car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female passenger in the car was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. The lorry driver is not thought to have been seriously hurt.

Police have appealed for witnesses
