Driver in hospital after car fire
A MOTORIST was taken to hospital after his car burst into flames as he drove along the road.
The man was driving in East Fettes Avenue at around 7.15pm last night when fire suddenly engulfed the vehicle.
He was able to get out of the car safely before the fire brigade arrived to extinguish the blaze.
An ambulance crew also attended and the man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
A police spokeswoman said an electrical fault in the car appeared to have sparked the blaze.
