Driver death teens face trial

THE four teenage boys who appeared on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week in connection with the death of 40-year-old takeaway driver Simon San, in the Lochend area of the city earlier this month, have been fully committed for trial.

Appearing separately in private before Sheriff William Holligan yesterday, the 16-year-old and 15-year-old charged with culpable homicide and robbery were remanded in custody. The other 16-year-old and 14-year-old, who were charged with robbery, were allowed bail.
