Driver death: boys in court

Four teenage boys have appeared in court in connection with the death of 40-year-old take-away delivery driver Simon San.

Sixteen-year-old John Reid and a 15-year-old were charged with culpable homicide.

They, along with Keir Rodger, 16 and a 14-year-old, were also charged with robbery.

The youths appeared separately in private before Sheriff Deirdre MacNeill QC yesterday.

No plea or declaration was made on their behalf and the case was continued for further inquiry. The four were all remanded in custody.
