Driver dead after truck strikes bridge

A LORRY driver has been killed after the roof of his cab was ripped off when his truck struck a bridge on the A9 road in Perthshire.

The incident occurred at the Coronation Bridge, Faskally shortly after midnight.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.

The area of A9 affected by the crash is expected to be open at midday today.
