Drink-driver gets let off lightly in court

A DRIVER who was four times over the limit when arrested at 8am was spared jail yesterday .

Andrew Boyd, 40, from Dores was told by sheriff Ian Abercrombie that he would not jail him and because of an early plea of guilty immediately from custody, he would reduce the sentence from 240 hours of community service to 180 hours.
