Dougray Scott is all set to play legendary Scot

FOOTBALL mad Dougray Scott is thrilled to be playing legendary manager Sir Matt Busby in a new television drama.

The Fife-born actor, who is a Hibs supporter, takes on the role of famed Manchester United boss Busby in the BBC drama United, which revolves around the 1958 Munich air disaster.

Scott said: "Sir Matt is an iconic figure, such a famous figure in football. I'm such a big football fan and I had a close connection with football as a boy, so I was drawn to the story."

Scott, 45, who will star alongside David Tennant in the programme, once said he would trade an evening with Robert de Niro for a night with Sir Alex Ferguson.
