Don't waste grant chance, firms urged

COMPANIES in the Capital that want to secure new environmental grants have been urged to apply before next week's deadline.

The city council-run Waste Action Grant Programme can provide funding of up to 2500 for local projects seeking to reduce, reuse and recycle waste.

More than 60 groups have already been awarded funding and a deadline for applications of October 25.

Councillor Robert Aldridge, the city's environment leader, said: "Groups will be able to develop waste action groups."
