Don't fall for the SNP says Ed Miliband

LABOUR leader Ed Miliband has urged disillusioned Liberal Democrats not to be "misled" by Alex Salmond.

On a visit to Edinburgh, he said: "There are a lot of Lib Dem voters who were misled by Nick Clegg with false promises and I would encourage them to think twice before being misled by Alex Salmond and his false promises.

"The SNP don't want to talk about their policies on independence or Local Income Tax. They are trying to hide these policies. If people vote for the SNP the danger is they will be misled just like they were misled by Nick Clegg."

He said the UK Tory-led government reminded Scots of Margaret Thatcher's governments in the 1980s. "They may have the Lib Dems in the government, but the Lib Dems are basically in the boot of this government. What David Cameron really fears is a Labour government in Scotland showing there is a real alternative."
