Domestic abuse support scheme hailed a success

A PILOT scheme supporting children who have experienced domestic abuse will be hailed as a success at a conference in Edinburgh today.

The Cedar project, originally pioneered in Canada, is being tried out in the Capital, Fife and Forth Valley.

Scottish Women's Aid is running the three-year pilot from 2008-11 in partnership with the local authorities and with funding from the Scottish Government.

Today's conference will see the publication of an interim report assessing the scheme.
