Dogs looking to Cruft up

DOG lovers will have the chance to see nearly 5000 dogs compete for a Crufts place in the Capital.

The Scottish Kennel Club Championship Dog Show at the Royal Highland Showground in Ingliston on August 28 and 29 will see around 130 different breeds of pedigree dog take to the arena.

They will compete for the Best in Show and group prizes as well as the chance to take part in Crufts.

Show Manager Myra Orr said: "This is a great day out for all - we have so much going on, from championship agility to obedience handling, and there will be lots of trade stands where visitors can find new products and information."
