Dog survives 100ft cliff fall

FIREFIGHTERS were involved in a dramatic rescue after a dog fell 100ft down a cliff near to Rosslyn Chapel.

The Staffordshire bull terrier was lifted to safety following a call from the Scottish SPCA at around 12:05pm yesterday.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said there was no sign of the dog's owners at the scene, adding that the animal was taken away by the SSPCA.
